The latest Installer newsletter talks to Paris Marx about his guide to alternative software not hosted in the US – something that’s important to consider now.
In particular he refers to the Proton privacy suite (I’ve been on Proton Mail but went for the full suite for access to ProtonVPN, which integrates nicely with the Vivaldi browser – another one of Marx’s recommendations)
Another recommendation is Signal which I also use but only for a select group of friends so far – I’d love to switch my family to it from WhatsApp.
